IIT Hyderabad Ph.D. Program Admission 2020

IIT Hyderabad is one of the 2nd generation IITs started by the Govt. of India. It offers more than 30 courses in all branches of engineering, science, liberal arts and design. IIT Hyderabad was ranked 8 amongst the Engineering institutes in India by NIRF 2019. 

IIT Hyderabad Admission Process 2020

IIT Hyderabad admission for BTech programme generally commences from the month of December with JEE Main registrations. The application forms for PG and PhD programmes typically release in the month of April.

IIT Hyderabad PhD Admission 2020

All the engineering departments (except Engineering Science) at IITH offer a PhD programme. The eligibility criteria for admission in the PhD programme is a Masters degree in the relevant discipline. IITH typically admits students to the PhD programme twice a year. The notification for the invitation of applications comes out in the month of November and April. The received applications are screened by the individual departments and the successful applicants will be called for a written test and interview. Candidates with a valid GATE score may secure direct admission into PhD.

IIT Hyderabad Application Process 2020

In order to apply for admission in IIT Hyderabad, candidates can apply online through the official application portal of the college. However, candidates must also apply at the official conducting website of the relevant entrance examination. BTech aspirants must fill the application form of JEE Advanced through the official website of National Testing Agency (NTA) and MTech candidates are required to register through the official website of Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP).

  1. Visit the official website of IIT Hyderabad
  2. Select the desired course and click on “Apply Online” tab
  3. Register as a new user by filling the required details
  4. Log in with your credentials and fill accurate details in the application form
  5. Enter academic qualifications
  6. Pay the application fee and submit the application form

    • Coloured photograph & signature
    • Birth certificate
    • Passing certificate and qualifying mark sheet
