IIT Jammu PhD Admission 2020 – Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jammu invites application for admission to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Program in various departments for the academic session 2020-21. Interested candidates can apply for the same till April 25, 2020 through online mode.

PhD Types

Applicants for admission to the Ph.D. program shall be classified under any one of the following categories:
a)Institute Research student/ candidate (Full Time)
b)Full Time externally funded students (UGC, CSIR, GPAT, etc)

Last Date of Online Application25th April 2020

Eligibility Criteria 

For Full Time PhD Program at the Institute
 
Any of the following option may be satisfied
A Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology or a Master’s degree by Research in Engineering/ Technology along with a good academic record.
Master’s degree in Science (with a good academic record) and a valid GATE score / UGC/CSIR-JRF/GPAT/ NBHM or equivalent qualification in the relevant area tenable for the year of registration
Exemption under schemes as agreed by the IIT Council for students of NITs/IITs/IIITs/IISERs/IISc may be acceptable
Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology with an exceptional academic record and a valid
GATE score in the eligible discipline

 Reservation

The reservation of seats in admissions for SC, ST, OBC, EWS categories and for Persons with Disability (PwD) will be as per Government of India rules

1.Candidates are advised to read every instruction given in this Information Brochure very carefully before applying Online
2.Candidates are requested to apply online only. Hard copies of the application need not be submitted. Physical application will not be considered
3.Prescribed qualifications and experience are the minimum required and the mere fact that a candidate possesses the same will not entitle him/her for being called for an interview
