Eligibility Criteria 

a)PhD in Engineering: Master Degree in relevant branch of Engineering/Technology with minimum 60% marks or equivalent CPI 6.5 or; Bachelor’s degree in relevant branch of Engineering/Technology with minimum 75% marks or equivalent CPI 8.0
b)PhD in Sciences, Computer Applications, Humanities, Social Sciences & Mgt.
c)Master’s Degree in the relevant subject with a minimum 60% marks or equivalent CPI 6.5
d)Bachelor’s degree in relevant branch of Engineering with minimum 75% marks or equivalent CPI 8.0

Reservation for SC/ST/OBC is applicable as per Govt. of India rules

  • Downloadable application form and the information brochure for admission to PhD program are available on the Institute website www.nitjsr.ac.in.
  • Drawn in favour of the Director, National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur, payable at SBI RIT Branch (Code 1882), NIT Jamshedpur and should reach to Associate Dean (Academic: PG & R), NIT Jamshedpur-831014, Jharkhand (State).
  • Superscribe on the envelope “Application for PhD Admission in the Dept. of _______” the candidate is required to write on the reverse side of the Demand Draft his/her name and the program to which the application is being submitted.
