Eligibility Criteria for KKHSOU MPhil PhD Admission 2021

Eligibility for admission to M.Phil. Program:

  • Candidate for admission to the M.Phil. programme shall have a Master’s degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7- point scale.
  • A relaxation of 5% marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer/ differently-abled) and other categories of candidates.

Eligibility for admission to Ph. D. Program:

  • Master’s degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale.
  • Candidates who have cleared the M.Phil. course-work with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and successfully completing the M.Phil. Degree shall be eligible to proceed to do research work leading to the Ph.D. degree in the same institution in an integrated programme subject to condition laid by doctoral research committee.
  • A relaxation of 5% marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer/ differently-abled) and other categories of candidates as per the decision of UGC from time to time. 

Note: Those Candidates who have qualified UGC-NET (JRF) or CSIR NET (JRF) may be exempted from entrance examination subject to submission of necessary qualifying CertificatE.

KKHSOU MPhil PhD Admission 2021 Application Process

  • Eligible Candidates can apply online through the official website www.kkhsou.in
  • The application for entrance test will be through online mode only. The applicants are requested to visit the University website www.kkhsou.in for online application.
  • For the Entrance test of the M Phil/Ph. D. programme, candidates shall apply through online Application form as available in the University website.
  • Read all instructions regarding filling up online forms, and relevant information are available on the University website.

Admission Process

M. Phil.Program

Admission to the M.Phil. Programme of the university will be based on the candidate’s performance in the written test.

Ph.D. program

Admission to the Ph.D. programme will be based on performance in the written test and interview cum Viva. Shortlisted candidates of the written test will have to make a presentation of their synopsis of a research proposal (format to be notified later) before a panel of experts. 

APJ Abdul Kalam Research Fellowship

  • The University is planning to introduce a Research Fellowship for economically deserving candidates to pursue their PhD. The fellowship will be awarded to a limited number of candidates after successful completion of their Coursework @ Rs.6000 per month for a period of 24 months.
