Central University of Punjab PhD Admission 2021 – Central University of Punjab (CUP) Bathinda has invited applications from eligible candidates for admission to the PhD Program for academic session Commencing January/February 2021.

Interested candidates who possess the required eligibility may apply for concerned entrance. The admission process is for JRF, NET, GATE, GPAT, DBT-BET & JEST (Physics) Qualified Candidates only.

Eligibility Criteria for Central University of Punjab PhD Admission 2021

  • The applicant should have a Master’s degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD) as detailed above for each programme.
  • Candidate must have qualified UGC/CSIR/ASRB-NET, ICMR-JRF, GATE, GPAT, DBT-BET & JEST (Physics) with existing validity and must have some financial assistance such as UGC/CSIR/ICMR/DBT-JRF, financial assistance from Govt. agencies {Like Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship (RGNF), Maulana Azad National Fellowship (MANF) etc.} / Sponsored Research Fellowship or working in CUPB projects.
  • Candidates must ensure that they should have all the original documents of their respective qualifying examinations at the time of interview and verification of Documents/Registrations.
  • For the Admission in Ph.D. Program candidates must fulfill the eligibility criteria on the date of verification of Documents/Registrations.

  • For online application, visit the homepage of CUPB website (www.cup.edu.in), click on home/admissions page, click on the link and apply online for necessary instructions.

Instructions for submitting Online Application:

  • Please read eligibility criteria and other requirements before submitting the application form.
  • To apply for admission to a Programme, eligible candidates must complete the online Application Form and submit it.

Selection Process

  • The candidates are required to appear in the interview and merit list will be prepared as per the evaluation criteria.
  • The Interview will be conducted at the level of Department by the Head of the Department along with 02 Senior Faculty members. The Department shall check the eligibility for admission to Ph.D. Programme. The Dean of the School will be Chairman/Coordinator for Ph.D. Admission.
  • Interview Committee of the Department will also verify all the original documents of the candidates and shall be responsible for compliance of rules prescribed.
