B. N. Mandal University Bihar PhD Admission Test 2021 – Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University (BNMU) has released the admission notification for the Ph.D. Programme for the academic year 2021

Candidates have to apply through online mode.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates for admission to the PhD Program shall have a Master’s degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7-point scale (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed).

A relaxation of 5% of marks, from 55% to 50%, or an equivalent relaxation of grade, will be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/EBC/OBC/Differently-abled categories of candidates

A candidate shall ordinarily be permitted to pursue research for the Ph.D. degree in the subject in which he/she holds Master’s degree.

Note: Candidates, who are exempted from PAT 2020, are also required to apply with requisite Fee

Application Procedure

Duly filled in application may be submitted online to the University Management Information System (UMIS) of B.N.M.U. from 18-02-2021 to 01-03-2021 (Without Fine) and 02-03-2021 to 06-03-2021 (With Late Fine) and Portal will be closed at 11:59 PM on the last date and day of the application. No application will be accepted after the due date

Read instructions thoroughly before filling up the application. Applicants should fill all personal and education details in the online application at an appropriate place as per their certificates.

Selection Procedure
The selection will be based on the:

Ph.D. Admission Test (PAT) – 2020
Interview.
The written test will be comprised of two papers of 100 marks each.
Paper -I	100 marks will consist of objective/ multiple-choice questions on qualitative teaching and research aptitude. The duration of the examination is 1 hour.
Paper -II	100 marks will be the subjective type in the subject concerned based on syllabus (excluding elective papers) of the Post-Graduate courses of the B. N. Mandal University, Madhepura, Bihar. The duration of the examination is 2 hours.
The minimum qualifying marks for written test will be:
For General candidates – 50% aggregate marks
For Reserved category candidates – 45% aggregate marks
