Eligibility Criteria for Calcutta University PhD in Atmospheric Science Admission 2021
- Passed M.Sc in Atmospheric Science or Equivalent Passed/ Appeared.
- In case a candidate wishes to apply for admission in the Ph.D. Programme in Atmospheric science having a preceding qualifying degree for a subject in which there is no University Post-Graduate Department then he/she will have to seek an endorsement by the Ph.D. committee of Atmospheric Science.
- Those candidates who have already passed NET / SLET /M.Phil/ Teacher Fellowship or equivalent examinations are exempted from the Admission Test. However, they have to qualify in the interview.
Calcutta University PhD in Atmospheric Science Admission 2021 Application Process
- Application Form can be downloaded at the official website https://www.caluniv.ac.in/
- Candidates should apply in the prescribed proforma by paying Rs.100/- in the University Cash Counter (as application fee for Ph.D. admission) through a challan obtainable from the Cash Counter at C.U. duly forwarded by the Head of the Department or his representative. SC/ST candidates are exempted from paying fees.
- Candidates are requested to submit the filled-in application form along with self-attested testimonials to the office of the Department of Atmospheric Science, C.U., BallygungeSc College campus, 51/2 Hazra Road, Kolkata-19.
- This endorsement should be submitted along with his/her application for admission to the Ph.D. programme.

Application Fee
An application fee of Rs. 100/- is to be submitted online through SBI Collect (https://www.onlinesbi.com/sbicollect)
Admission Process
- Admissions will be made on the basis of a written test followed by an interview.
- Admission Test will be taken based upon the M.Sc Syllabus of Marine Science, Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- Those candidates who have already passed NET / SLET /M.Phil/ Teacher Fellowship or equivalent examinations are exempted from the Admission Test.
