Eligibility Criteria for IACS Jadavpur Admission 2021

For Integrated Bachelor's - Master’s Program in Science

  • Candidates qualified in 10+2 board exam with a minimum first division/60% marks or equivalent grade in both 10 & 10+2 level exams are eligible to apply for admission to this program (55% marks or equivalent in 10 & 10+2 levels for the reserved category candidates.
  • Those who have appeared in the 10+2 board exam may also apply but their final selection will be subject to securing the required percentage of marks in the qualifying exam.
  • Eligible applications will be required to appear in a UG Pre-Interview Screening test (UPST).
  • UPST-2021 will be conducted in a fully computer based test mode Tentatively on July 20, 2021 in various cities across India.

    • For Master's/Integrated Masters-PhD Program in Science

    • Candidates having Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering with a minimum first division in both 10 & 10+2 levels and a minimum first class (60% marks or equivalent) in Bachelor's degree are eligible to apply (55% marks or equivalent in 10 10+2 levels and Bachelor's degree for the reserved category candidates).
    • Those who have appeared in the Final Bachelor's degree examination may also apply but their final selection will be subject to securing the required percentage of marks in the qualifying examination.
    • Candidates having Engineering background and opting for School of Mathematical & Computational Sciences should have adequate training in Mathematical Computer and Computational Methods.
    • Eligible applicants will be required to appear for a Master's Pre-Interview Screening Test (MPST).
    • MPST-2021 will be conducted in a fully computer-based test mode Tentatively on July 20, 2021 in various cities across India.

      • For PhD Program

      • Highly motivated Indian Nationals having strong flair in research obtaining 55% or equivalent in Master's (50% for the reserved category) and qualified in UGC-NET/CSIR-NET/GATE/JEST/equivalent national level exam.

      • Application for Integrated Bachelor's-Master’s & Master's/Integrated Masters-PhD Programme are to be made online.
      • Eligible candidates can apply online through official website www.iacs.res.in

        Application Fee

      •  For General & Other candidates :- Rs. 1200/-
      • For SC/ST and PD candidates :- Rs. 600/-

      Selection Process
