Periyar University MPhil and PhD Admission 2021 Important Dates

  • Last date for submission of on-line application :- 09th August 2021
  • Last date for submission of printed version of the on-line application :- 12th August 2021
  • Candidates can download their Hall tickets from the portal using their application number, Mail-ID and date of birth between : Through mail/SMS only

Eligibility Criteria for Periyar University MPhil and PhD Admission 2021

  • Candidates should have Passed Master Degree with a minimum 55% of marks or an equivalent grade.
  • For the candidates belonging to SC/ST community and those who have qualified for the 
  • Master’s degree before 19th September 1991 the minimum eligibility marks shall be 50% in their Master’s degree.
  • The Candidates who are studying Post Graduate Programs and cleared all papers up to III Semester are eligible to apply for MPhil/PhD Program.
  • NET/SET/GATE qualified need not apply for the Common Entrance test.

    • Periyar University MPhil and PhD Admission 2021 Application Process

    • Interested Candidates can apply online only through  the University Website www.periyaruniversity.ac.in. and the necessary fee must be paid through online only.
    • The duly filled online application printout (hard copy) along with candidate signature and required documents attachments should be sent to the Register, Periyar University, Salem - 636 011 on or before 12th August 2021

    • Step to Apply

      • Step 1 : Login www.periyaruniversity.ac.in.
      • Step 2 : Click Admission menu and then click Research submenu
      • Step 3 : Click online portal
      • Step 4 : Click PhD Entrance Box

      Application Fee

      • For SC/ST and Differently-abled candidates :- Rs. 250/-
      • For Other Candidates :- Rs. 500/-
      • Mode of Payment :- Online through Debit card/Credit card/Net Banking.

      Selection  Procedure

      • Selection will be based on an online Entrance exam and Interview conducted by the respective Departments.
