CSIR-CIMFR PhD Admission 2022 – CSIR-Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research (CSIR-CIMFR) Dhanbad invites applications for Admission to PhD Programmes under Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) for the academic session commencing in August 2022

CSIR-CIMFR PhD Admission 2022 Eligibility Criteria

Ph.D. (Science): A Master’s degree in Sciences (Chemistry/Physics/ Geology/ Applied Geology/ Environmental

Science/Biotechnology/Electronics/MCA) having a valid fellowship of CSIR/ UGC-NET (JRF only) or INSPIRE or other equivalent national fellowships.

Ph.D. (Engineering): M.E./M.Tech./M.Sc Tech. or equivalent degree in Mining/Chemical/Electrical

Engineering/Electronics Engineering/Mechanical Engineering/Civil/Environmental Engineering/ Geology/ Applied

Geology/ Engineering Geology/ Geophysics/ Applied Geophysics/Electronics/Instrumentation/

Biotechnology/Fuel/Mineral Engg.) with a good academic record and a valid CSIR/ UGC or equivalent national fellowship.

CSIR Scientists Group IV, Technical Staff Group III, Research Fellows and Project Assistants working in CSIR-CIMFR for a minimum period of one year, who fulfil the qualifications, are also eligible to apply. Such candidates will have to submit a statement of purpose along with recommendation of the proposed guide (with whom the candidate is undergoing project work and desires to undertake the thesis work) directly to the Coordinator of the Institute in addition to applying online form.

Reservation in admission for Ph.D. is applicable as per Govt. of India guidelines.

Interested candidates who fulfil the above eligibility criteria can apply online from at http://acsir.emli.in on or before May 31, 2022.

Selection Process

All applications will be screened by a committee. Candidates short-listed after the screening, will be informed to appear for an interview/aptitude test at CSIR-CIMFR.

The date of aptitude test/interview will be intimated to the shortlisted candidates and will also be posted on the institute’s website
