IIPE Visakhapatnam PhD Admission 2022 – Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy (IIPE) Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh invites applications from the motivated Indian citizens for admission to Ph.D Programme [Regular, Sponsored,

Working Professionals and Individual Fellowship (i.e. CSIR/ UGC/ DBT/ ICMR/ INSPIRE etc.)] in following disciplines of Engineering, Technology and Science for the academic year 2022-23 (Autumn Semester)

PhD disciplines

Bioscience; Chemical Engineering; Chemistry; Computer Sciences and Engineering; Earth Sciences; Electrical

Engineering;  Mathematics; Mechanical Engineering; Petroleum Engineering

 Important Dates

Last date of the application submission : 31st May 2022

Date of Test & Interviews (for short listed candidates) : 06th June 2022 to 10th June 2022

Declaration of list of selected candidates : 15th June 2022

Date of admission in the Ph.D. programme for selected candidates : 25th July 2022

Eligibility Criteria for IIPE Visakhapatnam PhD Admission 2022

Minimum qualifying degree required for seeking admission to the PhD program are

M.Tech (Master of Technology) / MS / ME (Master of Engineering)/ M.Sc.(Engg.,) with a consistent first-class record

A degree equivalent to any of the above with a consistent first-class record OR B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology)/

BE (Bachelor of Engineering)/ B.Sc (Engg.) with a consistent first-class record

M.Sc. (Master of Science) with a consistent first-class record

A degree equivalent to any of the above with a consistent first-class record

Minimum 60% or first class (55% for SC/ST) in the qualifying examination in Engineering /Science/ and/or equivalent

Fellowships Details

The Institute Research Assistantship shall be awarded for a maximum period of 5 years. At present the amounts are as follows:

Rs. 31,000/- pm for first 2 years

Rs. 35,000/- pm for next 3 years

Contingencies amount: Rs. 30,000/- Per annum

For GN/EWS/OBC-NCL Male candidates : Rs 300/-

For GN/EWS/OBC-NCL Female candidates : Rs 150/-

For SC/ST candidates : Rs 150/-

For PwD candidates : Rs 150/-

Mode of Payment  : Through online (Net Banking/ Credit Card/ Debit Card)

 Selection Process

The admission of a candidate to the PhD program is recommended by the Institute Academic Committee (IAC) on the basis of

1. Overall Academic Performance

2. Written/Computer Test or Interview or both
